Campmeeting Ministries
- Campmeeting
Campmeeting is open to everyone, no matter what age your are. It is kind of like a retreat. A time to separate ourselves from the world and our everyday lives and concentrate on spiritual renewal. It’s a chance to connect with old friends and to make new ones. Whether you stay on the grounds or commute to one or more of the services you will be blessed.

- Evangelist Speaker (Brent Ross)
- Brent Ross is a Pastor from Loganville, GA. (HOPE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP) Often speaks at conferences and camp meetings. A true heart for evangelism. Just recently officiated at a baptism at his church. His wife is Janie, is the daughter of another AC pastor, Julian Parker who preached as an evangelist here at Mechanic Falls years ago. The church motto is “a Great Commission Church with a Great Commandment heart”. Brent has been on several missions trips to Honduras over the years.
- Every night at 7pm there is a service. Services are geared towards evangelism, saving the lost…but we always find something that we can use in our everyday life…God is so good!
- Bible Study
It’s held Monday through Friday of camp from 9:45-11:45 am for adults. And it’s just what you’d expect… in-depth Bible study. David Ross is now a retired pastor recently serving Fellowship AC Church in Taylorsville, NC. At one time he was the Executive Director of the Advent Christian General Conference in Charlotte, NC. He began serving as an AC pastor in the State Road Church here in ME (Presque Isle). Over the years he and his wife , Shirley, have served at conferences, camp meetings, and were founders of the Northern Nights Youth Choir in the “county”. He also was instrumental in establishing Sports and Music Camp, and Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies in Lenox, MA. Over the years Dave and his wife has seen nearly 40 persons called into career pastoral or missionary service.

- Worship Leader for Campmeeting (Steve Ross)
Come join us in worship through singing. Steve Ross – Youngest of the Ross brothers and known for his involvement with the Ronald McDonald house in Albany, NY for many years. He is a very gifted soloist and helps lead worship at Hope Church in Lenox, MA. (BICS is on the campus of the church) He has served on a number of trips to the Holy Land with BICS students. He will present a musical concert on Friday evening at the camp beginning at 7 pm.

- VBS-Vacation Bible School (Director: Sue Mackie)
- July 21st-25th
For children 5-12 years. It runs in the mornings, Monday through Friday at 9:30am to 11:45am, during the same time as adult Bible Study. This summer’s ministry to children centers their attention on the Old West and the Railroads that helped towns and villages grow. The WONDER of Jesus from his birth to His second coming will be featured through songs, teaching, crafts, snacks, games, and surprise fun, too. Our director this year is Sue Mackie from Calvary Bible Church in Meredith, NH. She and her staff will endeavor to make the truths we discover “come alive” during the same time as the adults are in a Bible Study session with Dave Ross in the tabernacle. We’ll start at 9:15 and close at Noon. For adults arriving early on the grounds for this earlier start time there will be a coffee fellowship “under the tarp” near the “tab”. Don’t be surprised how the decorations will turn our campground area into Wonder Junction. - There is no cost for this program, but your donations are gratefully received. Thank you!
